Introduce your hospital to the bacteria-fighting capability of copper touch surfaces by applying to the Antimicrobial Copper Patient Safety Challenge.
Your hospital could be selected to receive a $10,000 grant to be used for the purchase of a wide array of copper products available from over two dozen manufacturers.
Antimicrobial copper offers a powerful new infection-prevention tool. Components made from antimicrobial copper are surfaces commonly touched by patients, healthcare workers and visitors. No staff training or other interventions are required. They are durable, work 24/7 andprovide long-term benefits.
Simply tell us how you will use antimicrobial copper touch surfaces to fight the bacteria* that cause hospital-acquired infections through this brief application. The application deadline is January 31, 2015, and the winner will be announced on February 13. The winner will be selected based on their demonstrated commitment to patient safety and to implement antimicrobial copper components on a larger scale.
The Patient Safety Challenge began in 2014. Other participants include Pullman Regional Hospital and Charlotte Hungerford Hospital. You can learn more about how these innovative hospitals have incorporated antimicrobial copper touch surfaces to create a safer environment for patients and staff by visiting our installations page.
"One of the things patients really look for is that hospitals are making sure they do everything they can to be sure patients are kept safe in the care they receive. Antimicrobial Copper has made it possible for us to take a step forward and add an extra layer of protection for our patients".
Scott Adams, CEO, Pullman Regional Hospital
